Ontario's shameful
toll of death in its
long-term care homes

As the Ontario Health Coalition conducted an online rally on January 29, 2021 it was announced that 3,941 elders had died in the province's long-term care homes. The rally to support LTC home residents and workers was attended by representatives of many organizations and unions. One of the participants was the President of UFCW Local 175, Shawn Haggerty.
