Greek government evicts media workers
occupying headquarters of national broadcaster

In the early hours of Thursday November 7, 2013, riot police in Athens evicted 500 media workers who were occupying the headquarters of the national radio and TV broadcaster. The workers were protesting the closure of the service and the firing of 2,600 workers. Teresa Marshall, the Communications Co-Ordinator for the global union federation Public Services International (PSI) was in Athens when the attack on the workers took place.
