Decent Work
Decent work is a way of thinking about employment in the world. It's a concept formulated by the International Labour Organization and supported by the ITUC, the Global Unions and other labour organizations. It sums up the aspirations of people in their working lives for opportunity and income, rights, family stability and personal development, fairness and gender equality plus the freedom to join and be effectively represented by unions.
The Decent Work campaign is aimed at providing opportunities for men and women all around the world to obtain productive work in conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity.
